THE 7349 or Castle Top boot was designed during the summer of 1991. Manchester’s Hacienda was at the peak of its powers and the Leeds club scene, led by Dave Beers Back 2 Basics, was just
beginning to create a new wave of youth culture. Craig Nicholas Tate – Managing Director “I designed this boot out of pure necessity as I couldn’t nd the right footwear for a night out. Trainers in club’s were not considered acceptable and we found a huge void in the men’s market. The initial design was manufactured in Northampton, England by a family owned factory called WJ Brooks. We worked very closely with the owners to create a desirable and well-made pair of boots that would be relevant for myself, my friends and a lot of other like-minded individuals. This style was quite literally an overnight success and we sold out of the rst production run in two weeks……………..the story had begun”
